The Cardiff Legal Walk 2021
Join us for the Cardiff Legal Walk (10km), incorporating the Three Courts Walk (5km). Complete the full or half after work walk to raise funds for free legal advice charities in Cardiff and Wales and the vulnerable people they support.
Why do we walk?
The need for free legal advice centres has grown in the past few years. The recession has increased poverty and reduced support services. Meanwhile funding for the advice centres themselves has reduced.
The organisations we support:
Why should you take part?
We simply can’t overcome the effects of the huge reduction in government and local authority funding over the past few years. What we can do is to ensure that many of the people most in need get help that would otherwise have been denied.
By taking part in the Cardiff Legal Walk and seeking sponsorship from your friends, family and colleagues, you will be helping to secure vital funds needed for this important cause.
What will happen on the day?
**Please note that the organisers will be following government guidelines continuously throughout the pandemic and arrangements are subject to change.**
Registration for the Cardiff Legal Walk will be open from 4.30pm. We ask that all participants report to register before having a photograph taken with our lead walkers. Once this has been done you are ready to set off on the walk and we wish you the best of luck!
The 10K walk will start at 5.20pm. For those walking the Three Courts route you will be set off to walk from 5.30pm.
All walkers will finish back the court for a reception where food and drink will be provided courtesy of RJWCCC from 6.45pm.
We will be running a photography challenge and encourage you to enter by tweeting your photographs from the event @RJWCCC using the hashtag #legalwalk.
The post-walk celebration will begin upon your arrival at the end venue and we would like to invite you to join us for a complementary drink to celebrate your enormous success!
