Cardiff Legal Walk - 1 Month To Go

9/8/2015

In one month's time, on Thursday 8 October, the Cardiff Legal Walk will take place. For the first time, we are providing two routes -

Cardiff Legal Walk - a 10k route for those looking for more of a challenge, incorporating a walk through Bute Park prior to joining the Three Courts Walk.
Three Courts Walk - the annual walk around the city centre, beginning and ending at Cardiff Crown Court.

The Cardiff Legal Walk will set off at around 5:30pm, with the Three Courts Walk following at 6pm. The expectation is that all walkers should have completed the route and returned to Cardiff Crown Court by around 7:30pm. The walks will be followed by a drink and canapé reception.

As always, the aim of the Cardiff Legal Walk is to raise vital funds for free legal advice providers throughout Wales. The need for free legal advice centres has grown in the past few years. The recession has increased poverty and reduced support services. Meanwhile funding for the advice centres themselves has reduced.

The organisations we support:
  • Prevent families being made homeless
  • Prevent destitution
  • Help older people gain the support to which they are entitled
  • Help women and children who have been trafficked for domestic servitude or prostitution.

We would be delighted if you and your team could take part. Please visit our Cardiff Legal Walk page for more information and to register your team!

Thank you.
